EXCITING PUBLISHING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS

To encourage and celebrate the creative talents and skills of students who want to write and illustrate their own children's books and submit them for possible publication, LANDMARK EDITIONS, INC. is pleased to announce:

THE 2006 DAVID MELTON MEMORIAL WRITTEN & ILLUSTRATED BY… CONTEST FOR STUDENTS

A participant may enter an original book in the category that matches his/her own age: 6 to 9 - 10 to 13 - or 14 to 19. Each book must be written and illustrated by the same student. There is an entry fee of $10.00. All entries must be postmarked on or before the May 1, 2006 deadline.

One winner will be chosen from each age category by qualified judges who will specifically consider the writing and illustrating skills displayed, as well as the originality of the books. The winners will be awarded publishing contracts and given all-expense-paid trips to Landmark's offices in Kansas City, Kansas. There, our professional staff will assist them in the editing, refining, and final production of their books. Within a year, the students will become published authors and illustrators and will be paid royalties from future book sales.
